This service will be included in the tour operator’s existing insurance policy and will enable customers to connect with a fully qualified NHS doctor who speaks English while abroad. Additionally, electronic prescriptions can be issued, allowing for immediate collection at local pharmacies. Chris Mottershead, Managing Director at Thomas Cook, views this as a valuable addition to their insurance policy, providing customers with peace of mind while traveling. The Now GP app, which offers instant remote video consultations, can be used worldwide as long as an internet connection is available. It is accessible on both Android and iOS devices and has already treated patients in various parts of the world, including the USA and Asia.
