Smart Pension, a London-based auto-enrolment company, has successfully secured over £3 million in capital through a series A funding round. This recent investment boosts the total capital raised to £5 million since the company’s inception just a year ago.
Duncan Howorth, the former CEO of Jardine Lloyd Thompson, has been appointed to the board of directors. Joining him is the former Mayor of London, Sir Anthony Joliffe, who assumes the role of Chair, alongside the company’s Chief Operating Officer and former Pension Protection Fund member, Peter Walker.
The funding for this endeavor has been provided by a group of prominent tech investors and seasoned entrepreneurs. Among them are Tom Valentine, co-founder of Secret Escapes, and William Reeve, a serial investor known for his involvement in LoveFilm, Graze.com, and Zoopla.
With such a formidable team supporting Smart Pension, the company is well-positioned for substantial growth. Currently, it has successfully onboarded 8,500 employers and boasts a membership of 60,000 individuals, signaling a promising trajectory for the company’s future success.
