With her unique vision, Shaquanna Johnson has carved her path and become an inspiration to women aspiring to become influential business owners in their respective sectors. She is the creative mind behind “Nuimage” (@nuimageskinbodystudio), a black-owned spa located in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, gaining significant attention for its exceptional beauty, cosmetic, and personal care services.
From the very start, Shaquanna was drawn to the beauty and personal care industry. She wanted to delve deeper into understanding the intricacies beyond makeup, leading her to attend esthetics school to learn about preventative and corrective skincare. Starting with facials and waxing in her spare bedroom, her passion for the field grew, and she quickly built a loyal clientele who trusted her expertise. This success propelled her to expand into a six-room space that is now known as Nuimage, a distinctive Skin and Body Studio. She credits her husband, Ramon Azular, and his business, Razor Labor, for the studio’s impressive remodeling.
Shaquanna acknowledges that her journey was not without challenges. Notably, during the remodel, the studio was damaged by a rainstorm, causing the roof to collapse onto the newly installed floors. It took three months for repairs to be completed. Nevertheless, Nuimage has emerged as a significant player in the industry, offering services such as Nu Client Facial, Microdermabrasion, Nu Brazilian Wax, Nu Yoni, and more.
Shaquanna draws inspiration from her family and strives to build a legacy that continually grows. Her unique approach and attention to detail set her apart, ensuring each client receives the best possible results.
