Kanye West is facing challenges in releasing his new album due to the fallout from anti-Semitic remarks he made last year, causing several record labels to distance themselves from the artist.
While news of the 46-year-old hip-hop artist’s marriage to Bianca Censori has generated attention, an unreported development is that he has completed a fresh album in collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign.
Despite the album’s completion, certain record label executives remain unwilling to distribute it due to the artist’s past anti-Semitic statements made about a year ago.
According to sources cited by Billboard, there is no controversy surrounding the music itself. Kanye West has been embroiled in controversy over the past year, particularly for making a series of anti-Semitic comments, exacerbating tensions in Israel.
As a result, many record labels are hesitant to associate themselves with the rapper and his unacceptable views, leading to the reluctance to release his projects.
However, despite the reluctance of some major record labels to distribute Kanye West’s latest project, he and Ty Dolla $ign are actively seeking a distribution partner for their collaborative album. Reportedly, they have received five enticing offers for the album. Reports suggest that Kanye is expected to make a decision on a potential album launch in the coming weeks.
Although Kanye has maintained a relatively low profile, he has been visible in recent months. There have been numerous public displays of affection between Kanye and his wife, Bianca, a 28-year-old model and architect.
Leak of ‘Jesus Is King 2’:
Variety has reported that a second installment of Kanye West’s 2019 gospel album, “JESUS IS KING 2,” has been leaked after much anticipation. The record features fresh verses from renowned artists such as 2 Chainz, Snoop Dogg, and A$AP Ferg, in collaboration with Dr. Dre. It contains remixes of original songs from the album and entirely new material.
New versions of “Closed on Sunday” and “Hands On” with Anderson. Paak and Travis Scott, respectively, have emerged. The leak was discovered on DJ Khaled’s 2022 album “God Did,” which included an Eminem-assisted version of “Use This Gospel” from an upcoming 15-song record.
Kanye West unveiled his album “Donda” last year, and earlier this year, he gave a sneak peek of some tracks from his upcoming release, “Donda 2,” but these songs were exclusively available on his Stem Player.
This year, Travis Scott released “Utopia,” and while it didn’t come directly from Kanye West, many fans noticed similarities between some of its tracks and unreleased music from West’s Yeezus sessions and other leaks, providing insight into what might be expected from his future releases.
